Liturgical dance is an expression of worship accompanied by many different types of music. The dancers respond with an appropriate dance which flows out of the music for the purpose of enhancing the prayer or worship experience. Liturgical dance invites us to respond to God with our whole being; it helps us move beyond verbal expressions to a fuller experience and expression of our relationship with God.
Girls in grades four through eight are invited to join the Liturgical Dance Troupe. Under the direction of Mrs. Markley, the girls meet every Tuesday, and sometimes Thursdays as performances near, from 3:15-4:30 PM. The dancers have 5 performances for our masses celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas, Open House, Mary's Day, and 8th grade graduation ceremonies.
